Waterstone Underground Solutions
A New Name. The Same Foundation.
Introducing Waterstone Underground Solutions
We’re proud to introduce Waterstone Underground Solutions, formerly Alberta Wilbert Sales, Ltd. While our name and visual identity have evolved, our foundation remains unchanged…the same people, the same commitment to quality, and the same focus on long-term relationships. This new brand reflects who we are today and positions us clearly for where we’re headed next.
For decades, our business has been built on trust. Trust earned through consistent craftsmanship, dependable service, and the relationships we’ve formed with contractors, engineers, municipalities, First Nations, developers, and homeowners across Western Canada. The decision to rebrand was not made lightly. It was driven by growth, clarity, and a responsibility to ensure our name accurately represents the work we do and the standards we uphold.
Why We Evolved
Over time, our capabilities, markets, and responsibilities have expanded. What began as a focused precast supplier has grown into a comprehensive underground solutions partner, supporting increasingly complex residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects.
With that growth came a simple but important realization: our brand needed to evolve to better reflect who we are today.
This change is not about leaving our past behind. It is about honouring it properly. Our previous name helped establish the reputation we are proud of, but as our role became more consultative, technical, and integrated, we felt it was important that our name clearly communicate the level of expertise, professionalism, and partnership our customers experience when working with us.
Waterstone Underground Solutions gives us that clarity.
The Meaning Behind the Name “Waterstone”
Our new name is a compound word formed from two elemental materials – water and stone – chosen deliberately to reflect both the nature of our work and how we approach it.
Water: Adaptability, Flow, and Purpose
Water represents flow, adaptability, and thoughtful problem-solving – but it is also central to the work we do every day. It is what our tanks are designed to hold and contain, what our pumps and piping systems convey, and what many of our filtration and advanced treatment systems are built to manage and purify.
In that sense, water reflects both function and approach. Functionally, it speaks directly to the infrastructure we support and the systems we help bring together. Philosophically, it represents responsiveness – the ability to adapt to site conditions, project requirements, and regulatory environments with care and intelligence. Together, these ideas reflect how we approach underground solutions: practical, informed, and purpose-built.
Stone: Strength, Reliability, and Permanence
Stone represents strength, reliability, and permanence. It reflects the structural integrity, durability, and long-term performance required of underground infrastructure – work that must be built to endure unseen, year after year, without compromise. Stone speaks to standards that are non-negotiable and solutions designed to last.
Together, Waterstone represents balance and resilience – the ability to adapt without losing strength.
What “Underground Solutions” Means
Our descriptor, Underground Solutions, reinforces how we see our role.
“Underground” reflects where our work lives and where our expertise is focused – from septic systems and water cisterns to lift stations and specialty precast applications.
“Solutions” is the more important word.
It positions us as more than a product supplier. It reflects our commitment to providing expertise, service, and support throughout the lifecycle of a project. We work alongside our customers to help navigate specifications, site conditions, installation considerations, and long-term performance – delivering reliable, well-engineered outcomes.
This solutions-based mindset has always been part of how we operate. Our new name simply makes it clearer.
Our Logo: Designed with Purpose
Our logo was designed to reflect the same principles that guide our work.
It is composed of three bands wrapping around a three-dimensional form, subtly evoking both a septic tank and the letter “W.” The structure conveys containment, balance, and engineered precision – solid, intentional, and enduring.
The teal elements represent water and flow, while the darker blue adds visual weight and stability. Together, the forms suggest both grounding and upward movement – a nod to our underground focus and our commitment to growth and continuous improvement.
The logo remains intentionally open, conveying adaptability and responsiveness rather than rigidity. Many also see a sense of support within the mark – reflecting how we view our relationships with customers and partners.
What Hasn’t Changed
While our name and look are new, the most important things remain exactly the same.
- The same experienced team
- The same commitment to quality and reliability
- The same focus on long-term relationships
- The same pride in doing things the right way
Our people remain at the core of our business. Their experience, integrity, and care are what built our reputation – and what will continue to define Waterstone Underground Solutions moving forward.
What This Positions Us to Do
This rebrand positions us to support our customers with greater clarity and confidence.
It reflects the full scope of what we offer today and gives us room to grow alongside our customers as projects become more complex and expectations continue to rise. It allows us to present ourselves consistently across markets and applications, while remaining grounded in the values that have guided us for decades.
Most importantly, it reinforces our role as a trusted partner – one that brings experience, accountability, and care to every project.
Looking Ahead
At its core, Waterstone Underground Solutions is about continuity and intention.
Continuity in the people, standards, and relationships our customers trust.
Intention in how we present ourselves, how we grow, and how we support the communities we serve.
We are proud of where we’ve come from – and equally committed to where we’re going.
